Every two years, a competition run by the Northern Austrian state recognises the most family-friendly companies in the region. On 13 October 2020, ESA ELEKTRO AUTOMATION GMBH was proud to have been awarded third place in the medium-sized business category.
“We are a TEAM” is the mantra that guides ESA ELEKTRO AUTOMATION GMBH, which will be celebrating its 30-year anniversary next year. “So we strive to create a healthy, family-oriented corporate environment in which each of our employees feels at home,” says CEO Ing. Andreas Teufel.
ESA ELEKTRO AUTOMATION GMBH looks back on 30 years of successful operation as a full-service provider in the area of electronics and automation technology. We deliver turnkey solutions around the world for almost every industry, such as water treatment technology, power generation, construction materials, food production and automotive.
As a mid-sized company with about 60 employees, ESA believes it essential to attract and retain experienced, qualified staff. In regular interviews, individual needs (such as flexible working hours and home office) are addressed, allowing an optimum balance between family and professional life. In addition to these employee interviews, there is a centrally accessible box for anonymous suggestions for improvement. A range of different corporate events such as ski trips, company days out or family get-togethers are always popular with employees.
ESA is very active in the Mostviertel region and takes part in the Bildungsmeile outreach to young people each year. School classes are invited to the company’s premises to learn about ESA and their training and career opportunities.
Since ESA ELEKTRO AUTOMATION GMBH increasingly aims to support the innovational strengths of local schools, we launched the annual “Mostviertel School Innovation Prize” 13 years ago, in association with Amstetten Chamber of Commerce. Students from all classes in the region’s secondary schools had the opportunity to put forward innovative projects.
“The award shows us that we are on the right path and we should continue implementing family-friendly measures. We would therefore like to express our sincere thanks to all our staff for their tireless efforts, especially during this challenging time,” says Teufel.
